Dear brothers and sisters,
We have said longer and more prayers in the past two months, crying out to the Lord with one heart. ‘If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.’ (1Cor 12:26-27)
Sister Suxia was baptised at her Newport home in front of her family and brothers and sisters on 22/10, and went to her China hometown on 30/10, with tumor in her brain and Jesus in her heart.
After years of seeking, Matthew received the Lord Jesus on 26/10.
Peter confessed his sins in front of his family and friends and brothers and sisters in the hospital ward on 20/11. He was baptised to show his sincere repentance.
The church held s special prayer meeting for Eddie on 14/11. He had gone through a 6-hour emergency operation on 10/11 and was admitted to the Critical Care Unit for observation. We looked upon the Lord in our desperation. Brothers and sisters from the three language groups gathered together in Llandaff Hall, crying out to the Lord with faith, we saw no one but Jesus.
Eddie woke up on 15/11 and started breathing on his own. He was transferred to the General Ward on 18/11, reciting Psalm 23 and chatting with me and Cherry. On 22/11 Eddie said grace and enjoyed his first dinner after the operation in front of visiting relatives and brothers and sisters.
How precious it is to say grace for our meals! ‘Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.’ (1 The 5:17-18)
