Dear brothers and sisters,
We thank the Lord for the fellowship with pastor Chian-hong and his family with us for over 2 weeks. He was the speaker of the Easter Conference and both he and Esyin led various meetings and met up with brothers and sisters to establish and encourage them. Praise the Lord for their faithful ministry. Yu-yue and Yu-tong have grown a lot too. The family arrived KL safely on 8th April. Let us continue to remember them in prayers.
We held the Church Annual General Meeting after the Sunday Service on April 3rd. We had reports from the Chairmen of the 3 language groups, elected the Church Council, and launched the procedure of employing the PTH Pastor. Lift up your eyes and look at the fields of Chinese people in Britain, the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Lord of harvest, please send out more workers!
I went to the Swansea Sunday Service on 3/4 afternoon. Brothers and sisters were all busy serving in different roles and they urgently need a pastor to shepherd and lead them. The church has started the procedure of employing a pastoral worker and they have planned an interview in May or June. May the Lord watch over and guide the church to preach the gospel and establish believers.
A big fire occurred in a furniture store on City Road on 3/4, fortunately there were no casualties. The venue of the 9/4 Church Sports Day is next door to the fire scene and is shut for the time being, so our Sports Day has to be cancelled. The contestants are disappointed inevitably, and to wait for another chance.
