Dear brothers and sisters,

I received a whatsapp message from Hong Kong before last Sunday’s Service. We prayed together for Hong Kong, we prayed that the protestors can act peacefully and calmly, that the government can have the wisdom and ability to solve the crisis. We cried out to the Lord, who is sitting on the throne, for His protection on Hong Kong. pray4hk

The Putonghua baptismal class has started on Tuesday. The first assignment is to write their personal testimony, an easy yet difficult task. It’s easy because it’s a true description of one’s life journey, it’s hard because, for some, recalling a painful experience can be distressed. The Lord Jesus has saved us form sin, words can never fully describe His wondrous love.

There are two new Bible Study groups on Monday, one in Cantonese and one in Putonghua, to cater for those who are off on Mondays. It was the fifth Monday, the Cantonese brothers and sisters brought a dish each to share and have fellowship. After the meeting, the brothers work together for the ‘new kitchen’ in the Church Centre until 9 o’clock.

Lastly, let us continue to pray for peace in Hong Kong.

In Christ,
Sam Wong
