27th December 2014
Dear brothers and sisters,
The kitchen of the Centre is done! The English group held their Christmas Celebration last Saturday (20/12) and officially opened the new kitchen. Praise the Lord!
Last Sunday (21/12) was a happy and busy day. The 12:30 Putonghua Service followed the 11am Cantonese and English Service, and followed by the 2pm Christmas Celebration of the Chinese Class and Bible Class. The hall was packed by students and their parents. All the performances were brilliant ad the parents couldn’t stop clapping and taking photos.
The Fujian Fellowship held their first Christmas meeting last Monday (22/12), over 100 people including children attended. The children sang beautifully and recited the Lord’s Prayer, confirming to us that they’re greatly loved by our Lord Jesus. The adults all wore red and sang ‘Love changes the world’. The message was from Isaiah 9:6 ‘A child was born for us’.
The Putonghua students had hot pot in my house on 24/12 (Wednesday) and Jeffrey received the Lord. We should boldly make a decision and cry to the Lord and proclaim our faith after understanding God’s love, knowing that we are sinners, realizing that Jesus is the Savior and that faith is the key to salvation.
Christmas Day was a sunny day, adding joy to the 3 sisters who got baptized. They shared their testimonies and proclaimed their faith through baptism, promising to keep their faith and follow Christ all their lives in front of everyone. The Cantonese Christmas dinner was full of delicacies and the Lord’s grace.
The earth has suffered a lot in 2014, but we have peace at heart because we live in the Lord Jesus. With the Lord’s abundant grace, the Spirit’s presence and the Father’s care, we can live a different life all the year through.
May your 2015 be fruitful and pleasing to the Lord!
In Christ,
Sam Wong
