20th February 2015
Dear brothers and sisters,
The Putonghua Gospel Meeting on 13/2 is the first of the many church New Year Gatherings, we’ve got over 80 people that night. In the following 11 days, the different Fellowships and Bible Study Groups of the 3 language congregations have dinner gatherings in the church or at homes. These will come to an end with the Fund-raising New Year Banquet on 23/2.
I thought of the early Church: ‘Everyday they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.’ (Acts 2:46) I earnestly pray that we can get the blessing of Acts 2:47, ‘praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.’
On 18/2, the New Year’s Eve, a group of brothers and sisters gathered in the church to pray for the 9-10/3 Cantonese Gospel Meetings, for the unsaved souls of Chinese in Cardiff and South Wales, for our families and friends, for the preparation of the meetings, visitation, invitation and all those who serve before and behind the scenes.
We firmly believe, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by the Lord’s Spirit.’ Zec 4:6
The Ping-pong training started last Monday. We hope to reach out to more people through this small ‘ball’. Apart from the Ping-pong session 2-4pm on Tuesday, we now have ping-pong training 7-9pm on Monday. All are welcomed. After the Fujian Fellowship last Monday, the mums were so excited to play and reluctant to leave, you can imagine the fun of this game.
May you all have a blessed and fruitful Year of the Sheep and good health physically and spiritually!
In Christ,
Sam Wong
