Dear brothers and sisters,
It’s my privilege to be able to serve Chinese churches around Cardiff on some Sundays afternoon. I went to Bristol last Sunday, will go to Swansea coming Sunday and Newport a week Sunday. I enjoy having conversations and fellowship with brothers and sisters. I had a chat with Kalun’s father last Sunday and I praise the Lord for his baptism on 22/3, it’s a miracle the Lord performs on man. Have we dressed up for the Heavenly Banquet? (It’s the theme of the Service sermon)
The Easter Conference of Cardiff and Swansea was held on Monday to Thursday in Hebron Hall. The theme is ‘Life in Action’. Rev Henry Lu and Rev Andrew Davis were the speakers. They encouraged us to love and serve the Lord wholeheartedly and live out the gospel of Jesus Christ through the studies on the life experience of Paul in Acts and the Passion Week of Jesus in the Book of Matthew.
Group discussion is a wonderful time, with new and old friends sharing and encouraging each other earnestly, though some could only join one day.
Ice-breaking, Fun Time and Talent Show had broken the barriers of the 3 language groups and united Cardiff and Swansea and filled the place with laughter. A group of lovely children played and ran around and formed a beautiful picture. There’re also Worship and Praise sessions. The kitchen worked hard quietly and prepared delicious food for us. All participants were full physically and spiritually.
We thank the Lord that brothers and sisters of both churches serve diligently in different roles. Christians are a people who believe and follow the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us encourage one another to live out Jesus Christ and be His witnesses.
In Him,
Sam Wong
