12th June 2015

Dear brothers and sisters,

We can see the expansion of the family gospel work in the Cantonese and Putonghua Joint Service last Sunday, especially when the children left the Hall hand in hand after the offering. It’s like the Israelites walking through the Red Sea from Egypt, or rather, crossing the River Jordan into Canaan.

The Putonghua Service will change the time to 1.30pm starting July, the group meetings will be held after the Service; but the monthly Joint Service will continue to meet at 11am.

The Putonghua Chinese School will move to 11am on Saturday starting October. With the increase of Putonghua students, we’re working hard to share the gospel with the parents. Before the Chinese School starts, we’ll have an Assembly for the children and their parents at 10.45am, with songs for kids and announcement. The students will leave the Hall for Bible Class and Chinese Class while the parents will stay and have a time of worship, followed by a message from Pastor at 11.15am. After the meeting at noon, parents can have a time for a cup of tea and a chat or they can join some group activities if they like. Let us ask the Lord to raise more helpers.

‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’ (Matthew 9:37-38)

In Him,
Sam Wong
