Dear brothers and sisters,
I treasure every opportunity to speak in the Newport Chinese Christian Fellowship. A group of dedicated Christians meet every Sunday afternoon to remember the Lord’s resurrection, worshipping God with praises, prayers and listening to His Word. Last Sunday, I shared one of Jesus’ miracles about a woman who couldn’t straighten her back but went to the synagogue every Sabbath to draw close to God. She was demonized for 18 years. When she met Jesus, she was healed physically and spiritually. ‘Now I know that there is no God in all the world except in Israel. So please accept a gift from your servant.’ (2Kings 5:15)
Cherry spoke in Monday’s Fujian Fellowship on ‘Let the children grow up happily’. The parents actively shared their opinions. Parents’ greatest joy is to see their children grow up happily, and happy parents raise up happy children. The foundation of a happy family is faith, hope and love. Are you happy?
The Cantonese group went to Dare Valley for a day trip on Wednesday. The weather was fine and the scenery is beautiful, with mountains and lakes. Took photos and shared food all the way. Everyone was very happy.
Carys went to the Church Playgroup on Thursday. I took her hands and shuffled her through the car park. She was very excited seeing other children. There were so many toys and activities indoors and outdoors that she didn’t know what to choose. Many thanks to the volunteers who quietly serve the community diligently to help the children grow up happily.
Carys is going back to Hong Kong soon and I started to miss her. I was comforted seeing her grow taller and fatter.
