Dear brothers and sisters,
The Chinese Churches and Fellowships are all busy organizing Welcome activities for new students every October. It is our mission and privilege to co-work with God in His wonderful salvation plan.
‘Say Hi to Freedom’ was held last Friday (3/10) evening in Llandaff Hall. A group of excited ‘freshers’ came and got to know each other. We dined and sang and listened to His Word together, followed by group discussions. They were eager to express their queries on studies and living and faith. We thank the Lord for the cooperation of the three language groups. I was happy to answer any questions of the new comers, whether they called me ‘Father’, ‘Teacher’ or ‘God-father’!
The road in town centre was closed last Sunday due to the Marathon. Many brothers and sisters took a long time to get to the church, some were still struggling on the way when the Service started.
Praise the Lord for gathering us every Sunday to worship Him in spirit and in truth. ‘Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise’. We remember the Lord every Sunday, meditating on His love and righteousness, His holiness and faithfulness. The Lord Jesus Christ fulfils the great salvation for us on the cross.
I went cycling with a few brothers on Thursday 8/10. We cycled along the Taff Route from Merthyr Tydfil to Cardiff through brooks, rivers, waterfalls and lakes with the birds’ songs and fresh smells of trees. Everyone was amazed at the beautiful sceneries of South Wales while I was concentrating on my bicycle, finishing the task, though exhausted, with thanks to their care and help.
Britain is beautiful in October. Man is the most beautiful in all God’s creation. Let us know the Lord and enjoy Him and glorify Him.
In Him,
Sam Wong
