Dear brothers and sisters,
Praise the Lord! The Swansea Chinese Christian Church held their Dedication Ceremony of the new church building on 10/10. They have set up the church building fund for over 20 years. Thanks to the Lord for His grace and guidance. He has provided them with a meeting place in the city centre to witness Jesus and to serve the community. Let us continue to pray for their partnership in the gospel.
Our Putonghua and Cantonese Chinese Schools have commenced on 10/10 and 11/10 respectively. There is now more space in the Main Hall and Side Hall for the interaction among the students, teachers and parents.
We love every student who comes to the Chinese School and their parents and families. We have the Parents Corner on Sunday and added a Saturday meeting for the parents of the students, aiming to connect the church and the local Chinese families and establish the Family of the Lord Jesus Christ.
While on earth, Jesus approached the people and proclaimed ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.’ When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. The English, Putonghua and Cantonese groups have different missions and challenges. Let us ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest field.
I preached in the Newport Chinese Christian Fellowship on 11/10 afternoon. A group of dedicated Christians gathered and remembered the Lord on time. 2000 years ago, 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish has fed 5000 people. Over the 2000 years, 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish has fed the hearts of millions of people, those follow the Lord, those thirst for the truth and those who put His word into practice.
We have come not for the bread!
