Dear brothers and sisters,
There has been a lot of work going on in the Church building: the Fire Alarm System, the Fire Escape, and the LED lights in the Main Hall.
The foundation work in the Side Hall will be done next Monday and Tuesday, then the leaking problem of the Main Hall and the Side Hall will be dealt with.
The old heating system installed during the World War II will be replaced by a new one in June, so will all the radiators in the church.
We thank the CAC team for all the maintenance, repair and management of all these renovation work, special thanks to Elder B for getting quotes, bargaining and supervising the progressing of all the work.
We thank the Lord for the increase of attendants in the church meetings. With this increase, the car park is always jammed with cars. The car park in the Church Centre has been marked to cater for the greatest number of cars. The central area is the Assembly Point in case of a fire and must be kept clear at all time. Please do not block other cars.
Not just in time for church meetings but on time, to have time to quiet down before the Lord! Please allow more time to find a parking place. Out of love, families with babies and children have the priority to use the car park. Families with no young children please use the free car parks nearby.
In order to reach out to the students of the Summer Language Course in July and August, an Evangelism Training Course is running on Thursday evening for the Putonghua students. I feel ashamed every time when I see the Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints zealously giving out invitations to the Chinese in their jabbering Putonghua. Where are we who are saved by grace?
