Dear brothers and sisters,
The London Christian Center for Gambling Rehabilitation held their second Conference in the COCM Center on April 20-22. The speakers were three coordinators from the Hong Kong Gambling Rehabilitation Organizations, and a couple who have successfully given up gambling. All participants were encouraged.
Gambling addiction is a bondage from Satan. Betting companies sponsor all kinds of Sporting competitions in Britain, and the government turns a blind eye on betting business due to the enormous revenue. Many Chinese people are addicted to gambling and lose their money and even families. Most of them won’t make up their minds to give up gambling until they have no way out.
Praise the Lord, the participants from our church are all encouraged in the Conference, and decide to restart the Gambling Rehabilitation through the gospel in Cardiff and South Wales. The relapse of gambling and the care for the family members of gamblers give me the deepest impact.
We met brothers and sisters from other cities and we share experiences of the Gambling Rehabilitation work and encourage and pray for each other at different times during the 3-day Conference. Pray that those gambling addicts can know the Lord Jesus Christ so that they can start a new life.
