Dear brothers and sisters,
The Cantonese and Putonghua Student Fellowships held a joint Christmas celebration last Friday. Over 60 people had dinner together, followed by singing, games and exchanging presents. The true meaning of Christmas: ‘It’s better to give than to receive’.
The English congregation held their Winter Retreat in Gower last weekend. It’s a great annual event, helping brothers and sisters to know each other better through sermons and group activities, so as to establish the English ministries more effectively. Those who didn’t go to the retreat joined the Cantonese Service and we had a good time to combined worship.

I’m very happy to speak in the Newport Sunday Service and meet up with the old friends bimonthly. We meditate on ‘Who is Jesus’ in December. Is He a Reformer? A performer of miracles? A great teacher? Yes, He is indeed. But more importantly, He is Jesus, the Saviour who the Word became flesh; He is Christ, the Messiah who sits on the throne, the Lord over our lives.
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins. (Matthew1:21)
Have a blessed Christmas!
In Him,
Sam Wong
