Dear brothers and sisters,

280615aStudents of the Cardiff University’s summer language course have quietly filled Talybont. Groups of young and curious faces can be seen everywhere in the area. I softly greeted them with ‘Welcome to Cardiff’ when I met them on the streets, and they’re happy to return with a ‘thanks’.

The brothers and sisters of the Student Fellowship went to Talybont and talked to the new students on the streets with peace and joy from above. Unexpectedly, the response was far better than visiting them in their rooms. Brothers and sisters earnestly talked to them in small groups and answered their queries on studies and lives here and gained their thanks, some students upstairs even got down to meet us. A new student expressed his doubts on faith and asked me directly what it meant by ‘accepting the religion’. We invited some new students to come on Friday and Sunday and prayed for them, that they can enjoy their studies and understand the true love.

280615bThe South West Pastoral Prayer Meeting was held in Swansea on Thursday to farewell Miss Mei-ling So. She was there when this group started and was the first female co-worker at the time. She faithfully supported this prayer group and there are now many female co-workers. We prayed and blessed her and asked the Lord to continue to lead her all the way.

The Friday gospel café explored Buet Park on 26/6. We thank the Lord for His care and love of brothers and sisters. We shared food and strolled around and enjoyed a great time in the breeze under the clouds.

We’ll go to Cosmeston Lake on Wednesday 8 July!

In Christ,
Sam Wong
