27th March 2015
Dear brothers and sisters,
The theme of Sunday Service for the first quarter this year is “Fruitful Life”. Lord Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)
Spring is here and the nature is at its best. Trees that bear fruits are the most outstanding among everything. We are “new creations” in Christ Jesus. The best way to witness God’s salvation is by living in the Lord, bearing fruits of the Holy Spirit, fruit of righteousness and fruit of Gospel!
The theme for the second quarter’s Sunday service is “Mountain Top Experience”. We learn to know and to enjoy God’s grace, blessings and the spiritual lessons from what happened on the ten mountains in the Bible. Christian lives in the world is a road to heaven, more precisely, we are a group of strangers climbing up the mountains. We are not content with the ups and downs in this ordinary human world. We plant our feet on higher ground with the help from our Lord Jesus Christ, to live an abundant life, with a bigger aspiration and lofty goal!
“Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god. They will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God their Saviour.” (Ps 24: 3-5)
3 brothers and sisters from Swansea have come to join our Wednesday Baptism class. They came for being inquired about their faith. We’ll have baptism in Cardiff in the morning and baptism in Swansea in afternoon on 5th April. I’m glad to have known them and we have a very good fellowship time. We are convinced of the truth and of the amazing words of God. “It is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes!” (Ro 1:16)
Cherry has started off from Cardiff airport on Thursday morning (UK time), however, because of the aircraft engines problem, she needed to stay in Amsterdam for a night. A major power cut hit the city the next morning, causing most of the flights to be cancelled, and Cherry’s journey was delayed again. She needed to change flight in Moscow and after all these transitions, she arrived safely in Hong Kong at 11am (local time).
Many thanks for your prayers and regards!
Sam
