Dear brothers and sisters,

We have to be part of the Chinese Community to feel the atmosphere of the Lunar New Year in a foreign land. Different fellowships and Bible Study Groups and families of the church have various celebrations.130216a

The PTH Couples Fellowship made dumplings last Saturday. The dumplings I made were actually quite good after two years of practice, and I learnt the technique of cooking dumplings this year. The Student Fellowship continued making dumplings and Hot-pot in the church with over 40 students. We sang and played games happily together.

Swansea Church also celebrated the New Year with a meal after the Sunday Service and every family brought a dish.

1302116We had a simple family dinner in my house on the Lunar New Year Day. I felt privileged to be the cook, and the ‘chicken in wine’ seemed quite popular.

The Cantonese congregation had a yummy ‘Big Bowl Feast’ on Tuesday. It’s the hard work of some brothers. Elder B counted the Lord’s blessings and guidance on the church in the past 40 years. We thank the Lord for Cardiff Chinese Christian Church.

Have a healthy body and spirit, and serve the Lord joyously in the new year!

In Him,
Sam Wong
