Dear brothers and sisters,031015a

It seems a long time since I left Cardiff, yet it seems that it’s just yesterday. Some children gave me a big hug before last Sunday’s Service, I found that they’ve all grown taller. Glad to see you all again.

Some Master Students have finished their studies and left Cardiff. I joined a Farwell Party to farewell a Master student on 24/9. The Master course is only in one year . They are strangers when they came to church, but the fellowship in Jesus Christ has built up a strong friendship in a few months, and it’s hard to say goodbye.

The students have been busy distributing invitation flyers to new students to the Student Welcome Party. I studied the new faces along Park Place quietly and noticed that they’re from many different countries. I paid special attention to the Chinese students, whether from China, or Hong Kong, or Malaysia, or the second generation BBC, praying for them quietly.031015b

Where did we come from? After leaving here, where are we heading to? We need to face this question while we’re still alive: is it an end, or a never-ending reincarnation, or are we hoping for a better country in eternity?

‘down the middle of the great street of the city, the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.’ (Rev 22:1) No longer will there be any curse and night. We will see his face and we can meet again there.

‘ The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.’ (Rom 6:23)

In Him,
Sam Wong
