Dear brothers and sisters,
The three language congregations gathered together happily on 22/2 and worshiped the Lord with 10,000 Reasons.
We reflected on ourselves in this Service of the Year of the Sheep. ‘We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.’ (Isa 53:6) But the most important message came from John the Baptist on River Jordan, ‘Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.’ (John 1:29) And, referring to the last Battle, ‘They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.’ (Rev 17:14)
We had 5 tables in Llandaff Hall in the Fund-raising Dinner on 23/2. This is the first formal dinner using the new kitchen. Everyone enjoyed the food. Special thanks to the 4 chefs and the catering team who work quietly and serve the Lord with a joyous heart.
The Baptismal classes have been meeting for a few weeks already on Wednesday and Friday respectively. I enjoy leading baptismal classes very much, seeing brothers and sisters preparing themselves diligently for proclaiming their faith in Jesus and glorifying our Heavenly father through their baptism.
8 brothers and sisters joined the baptismal class and planned to be baptised on Easter Sunday (5/4). They are equipping themselves on their minds, spiritual progress, words and behaviour, church life and social witnessing for the baptism. Please remember them in prayers that their faith can be strengthened.
‘Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and praise!’ (Rev 5:12)
In Christ,
Sam Wong
